UPCOMING EVENTS
- In 2011, Renaissance will host First Fridays Music and Picnics in Gumtown Park from June through September. Each First Friday will feature a different genre of music. Sponsors, food vendors and musical performers are now being sought. Please contact 412-600-5914 or 814-275-1718 for more information. This is intended to bring people into town on Fridays and provide entertainment for the community.
- On July 2nd, Renaissance will host the second annual Music and Arts Festival from 1 to 8 PM in Gumtown Park, on Water Street in New Bethlehem. Click here for a registration form. (it’s the first word attachment). Local artists and crafters will display and offer their work for sale. Musical acts will perform during the day and authorized food vendors will be available. This event precedes the Redbank Valley Chamber’s fireworks that evening at dark.
- September 17, 2011. Renaissance has received permission to add a “Silly Walks” contingent to the Redbank Valley Chamber Peanut Butter Festival parade. We’re looking for fun, informal but tasteful and family friendly marching groups similar to ones in the WMAL Gross National Parade in D.C. of the late 1980’s and 1990’s and other similar parades around the country. Examples are lawn chair drill teams, lawn mower brigades, Elvis and Beatle Fan Clubs, Red Hat Groups, dog groups, etc. Search Google for Lawn Chair Drill Team to get some inspiration and call 412-600-5914 for information. Click here for a registration form.
- 5th Annual Arts & Crafts Show will be held at the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church on December 3rd from 9 AM to 3 PM. Breakfast rolls, baked goods and lunch will also be available. The show features many of the quality local artists and craftspersons in the Redbank Valley area.

Throughout the summer, Renaissance worked with the Redbank Valley Trail Association and community service youth to clean up various areas around town and in the Redbank Valley.
